Privacy policy

Tapeline Size Chart (“the app”) is a Shopify app made by thatmike1 (“we”). This policy explains what data the app accesses when a merchant installs it, what we keep, and why.

Data the app accesses

The app asks Shopify for one permission, read products. It uses it to let you pick the collection a size chart belongs to and to check which of your products a chart covers. The app does not ask for, and cannot read, your orders, your customers, or your staff accounts.

Data we store

Your size charts are saved in your own Shopify store, as data that belongs to the app’s installation. They are not stored on our servers.

An access session for your store is kept on our server so the app can talk to Shopify on your behalf. It holds your store’s .myshopify.com domain, the access token Shopify issues to the app, the permission it was granted, and when the token expires. It holds no personal details about you or your staff.

Operational logs. The app server writes technical logs (the requested page, the response status and any errors), which can include your store’s domain. We use them only to keep the app running and to fix problems, and they are discarded as the server’s logs rotate.

Your customers

The app collects no data about your customers. The size guide on your storefront is rendered by your theme from data already in your store, so a shopper’s browser never contacts our server.

Billing

Plans are billed by Shopify. We see which plan your store is on, so the app can apply the chart limit, but we never see or store payment details.

Where the data lives

Our server is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, in Nuremberg, Germany. We do not sell or share data with anyone, and we use no analytics, advertising or tracking services.

When you uninstall

When you uninstall the app, we delete your store’s access session straight away, and Shopify removes the size charts stored in your store. Shopify also sends us a data removal request 48 hours after uninstalling, and we confirm the deletion then.

Your rights

You can ask what data we hold about your store, or ask us to delete it, by contacting our support page. Requests that Shopify forwards on behalf of you or your customers are handled the same way.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
